On for April’s monthly report…
Hffpppsshhh. Like seriously. That sound perfectly illustrates the amount of bleh I am feeling right now.
Been relatively busy this month. Mom and I are switching from purse hangers (cause everyone's got one now) to these nifty little bag organizers. Sprucing them up with some decorations and then carefully checking them, my aunts proceeds to sell them to their colleagues. Quite a neat profit, really.
Oh gawd! Yes! I've restarted my little betta breedings
I am so utterly happy with them. Got some fries growing - slow, but steady. I'm waiting for Aju to finish my grow-out tanks so I can transfer them, but ah well. I'm just happy that some survived, and is now out of the danger zone. They're about a month old now. Should be beautiful blue/yellow MGs and hopefully decent finnage. Trying to breed in the orange dalmation trait into them
Oh wow... I've mentioned this really briefly in facebook, but ARGH. Romance movies really piss me off. Farking stupid cliche plots with angst and self-discovery with a typical gushy ending; real world's not like that. Not by a MILE. So a big SCREW YOU to them.
Hmm. The little pessimistic realist in me... is not that little.
What’s in a dream?
I've been having some really odd dreams lately. Ok, not odd, since I always have odd dreams, but odd as in there's repetitive elements in ALL my current dreams.
Somewhere floating in there are either sharks or crocs. There is always a situation where I'd need to cross something, but under the waters, crocs are lurking, ready to chomp on me. One particular scenario I had was of me needing to travel downstream a river, and I only had this log thing as a raft. My legs would be dangling in the water, and I'm acutely aware of reptilian eyes regarding me, before silently slipping underneath the water into the murky depths, just biding its time to ambush me.
Another that I very vividly remember is of a large dam; the modern ones with the concrete and reinforcements and everything. There was a rogue shark trapped in the river, and it was heading straight for the dam. It was a gigantic shark, blue-grey armed with serrated teeth that could easily tear through flesh and bone. I was in a room in the dam, and I could see it, this monster of a shark, as it rammed through the concrete. Its head was larger than my entire body, and as it burst through, the teeth catches my side and I fall to the ground, with my left limbs torn off.
Yea. I get all the fun dreams
Zzzz….
Nothing much to say here, except that I have bought some nail polish and am looking forward to experimenting on my poor defenseless nails. Mwaha.
Jakarta – One small step for Kae, a giant one attempting to run away
Finally here in Indonesia. Pretty much a smooth flight from Brunei and nothing much worried me... until we entered the airport.
I don't know... the air here is pretty foul and I had to resort to the inhailer since breathing became labourious. The airport is kinda creepy... something like the offspring between a wannabe street with a garage lot.
Immigration had a hiccup; we'd been given Indonesian entry cards so we had to go back of the line to fill in the proper ones. But hey, had a nice chat with the immigration officer and he told me of which malls to hit and where to hang out, so he's a nice guy.
But oh my god, the moment we headed out of the airport the "creepy" feeling blossomed into full fledged OMHWHATTHEHELLAMIDOINGHERESOMEONEGETMEOUT. Random taxi guys kept coming up to us lying about how the transport we had won't be arriving so they'll take us to the hotel instead. Then even more random guys came up trying to help our bags into the proper car (that my uncle, bless him, had sent for us) and then trying to make us pay for their efforts.
When we got to the hotel it's not that bad. We're in the pent house apartment of the Ascott hotel so it's really nice. I was kinda relieved when I saw there's security guards, which was followed with a minor attack of, "WAIT THEY HAVE GUNS. WHY WOULD THEY NEED GUNS?!"
But hey. Now I'm in my (or rather, my parents) room waiting for the drugs to hit me and send me into blissful oblivion.
Till the next freakout. Laters.
On KL and the many many souvenirs I bought
Short and sweet post!
A number of clothes. Yes! I never ever buy clothes unless I'm overseas and it seems I've made the most of it :D Total body count: 7 shirts and 4 jeans/pants/khakis. Wootness for me!
2 bags. Fat bag and fatter bag! I'm so proud of myself. They're utterly lovely hand bags. At first I was eyeing this Coach bag but the price kinda threw me off. By like... almost a thousand Brunei dollars. Ha. Ha. Ha. So mom, dad and I skipped over to Tangs and I discovered Fat bag and Fatter bag (zomg the compartments! I fell in love at first sight. And could it be? They both EXPAND!). Both of which come to a total of $100 Brunei dollars. Yes. My handbag gung fu is strong.
Books! About 5 books. Never come back home without books. Though now damned if I can remember what I bought
One is called the Temple, and well... the rest are in the boxes and I can't be fussed to dig them out.
500 GB hard drive. Wootness. Finally, I can put my tempermental and fussy old HDD to rest. Preferable through a 2nd story window.
Sony MP3 player E440. More gadgets! As Kim has so succulency said; I am a gadget geek. My excuse for this is for me to use when I go to the gym and I won't have to mess about with my grossly overweight mobile. Plus this runs for 30 hours.
Hmm... what else. Oh! My laptop. Intense. Glee. ACTION! I'm so happy with it! Well, not that I have itnow. I've ordered it and it'll be built within the week. Then Taiko will send it over once it's shipped to his place. I am so unbelievably HAPPY.
And before I forget! My absolutely miserable self. Undergoing the flu, sore throat, and a sleep debt of about 20 hours.
Oh fun times indeed.
